Dustin is a 28 year old semi-professional/hobbyist.
After graduating High School, Dustin played with the rock group Disperse for approximately 6 years, playing dates across the midwestern United States, including Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Illinois.
Dustin attended Miami University from 2006 to 2009, pursuing (but did not attain) a degree in Music Education. While there, he played with the Miami University steel band, culminating in a west-coast tour when the University Steel band backed New York Jazz artist Andy Narell on a series of dates across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Dustin has also performed with Alloy, a six-person steel pan group for most of 2009.
Dustin is seeking beginner and intermediate level students seeking to expand their basic understanding of afro-cuban, latin, and world drumming styles, or to introduce elements of these styles into their existing repertoire.
Dustin is an Alumni member of the Alpha Theta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
