Hey! My name is Dane and I am a guitar player with 15 years of experience. Ever since I was little, I've loved learning and practicing fun songs on the guitar. I've performed in bands from middle school through college. Genres I have the most experience playing include rock, metal, progressive, and jazz. I've also played Japanese taiko drums and taught ensembles for 8 years as well as playing the trumpet in jazz bands since I was a kid. My job as a teacher is to guide you as a student in learning what you want to learn and help you enjoy the entire process. Thank you for taking a look at my profile and I hope to meet you soon!

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
I cater towards the interests of individual students. Therefore I will generate lessons based on what each student is excited to learn. There are a few universal aspects of guitar playing that I will incorporate in all lessons which voicings and expressions,-general music theory chords, scales, and modes,-physical technique and phrasing hand positioning, picking styles, movement etc.. The biggest thing that I will focus on teaching in all lessons is the enjoyment of music and how to experience fulfillment as an artist and person.

Performing Experience:
Guitar-School/Private bands from middle school through college. Trumpet-School, club, and CCJA conservatory band performances for 10 years Japanese Taiko drums for 8 years.
Experience Teaching:
Private guitar lessons for 2 years at Soka University. Taiko music and performance instruction for 6 years in Denver and at Soka University.
