What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner -
Friendly, supportive, enthusiastic, and well-paced instruction with respect everyone's different pace of learning. Beginner guitar lessons grounded in bedrock of theory and understanding of important features of music like chord construction, key signature, standard scales, and tonal coherence. A intention to impart the joy of playing and making music, and how it can be achieved by anyone.
Formal Education:
8 years of musical instruction in a school environment, including lessons on theory, sight-reading, and musical performance.
Performing Experience:
Regular performer of original and cover songs at open mic nights at coffee houses and school sanctioned events, singing, playing guitar, and harmonica. Performed an acoustic set at Café Atlantique in Milford Connecticut with band, The Stallions.
Experience Teaching:
Informal instruction given to several personal friends over the last several years on guitar and bass
