Hi my name is Khoa. I graduated from UT Austin with a bachelor's degree in history. I started playing the cello when I was 11. So basically the beginning of junior high and all the way up until the end of my senior year. Through junior and high school I was in the highest ranking orchestra for each school, after auditioning of course. And during those years I participated in concert performances, regional competitions, and the occasional small time performances for example during special masses. I've won a couple of 1st honor medals for solo and ensembles so I have some credentials to my name. In terms of teaching I would assist fellow classmates perfect the music score assigned to us and would do that all through out junior and high school. I personally think the cello is the most distinct instrument within the strings family. It has a broad range and a very warm sound to accompany any score. That being said, I want to help others express their own musical style through the cello while at the same time help them improve their intonation, sight-reading, style and overall musical skills.
