Lois has always loved music from an early age. She began playing piano at the age of 6 and continued her education by completing her Bachelor's degree in Music Education, as well as studying under a master piano teacher from Manhattan School of Music for 3 years. Her musical influences include classical, romantic, baroque, and 20th century. Lois's favorite thing about music is sharing it with her students and her favorite thing about teaching music is helping students understand music and enjoy it. What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

For young students, they will learn pre-reading, elementary music theory, and technique. We will use engaging songs--classical, folk, and blues. They will practice ear training and eye training, games, and creative discovery at the keyboard. I will help them develop analysis, creativity, and expression. For up 7 or 8 year old students, we will study: listening, sight reading, scales, different period pieces including Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th century and music theory.

Bachelor's degree in Music Education, 2008

Private Education:

Studied piano continuously from age 6; 3 years private study with master piano teacher from Manhattan School of Music from 2.

Experience Teaching:

MORE THAN 10 years of experience teaching in training schools and private classes. I specialize in ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) and all of my students have passed their ABRSM exams on the first try, and more importantly, they all enjoy and love studying music!
