Hello students! My name is Ray, I am a multi instrumentalist with over 10 years experience playing the piano, drums, and trumpet. I have devoted my life to playing, writing, and now teaching music. I am a beginner in terms of teaching, however I have a knack for picking up new skills very quickly, especially if they involve music. On piano, I like to play all sorts of styles from classical, to rock, pop, and even a little jazz. I focus more on music theory and improvisational techniques, but have the ability to teach you how to read music as well. On the drums, I can teach you the basics, and get you started with several fun and fresh rock, funk, and jazz grooves and fills, however reading drum music is something I am also very new to. I like to think that I am a strong jam drummer, meaning I can take the dynamic of an ensemble to its high and low limits, helping other musicians to discover and lock in parts of their own compositions.
