Bronson Ma

About Me

I have been classically trained on the Snare Drum and orchestral percussion since age 11 and continued to play through college. I've been playing drum set for 10 years and took lessons as a beginner to get me started in the right direction. I studied music at Cal State Fullerton, Fullerton Junior College, and Mt. San Antonio College, playing in the Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensembles.

Bronson Ma has over 12 years of music experience in the Norco area.

Formal Education:

Private Education:

I was given private instruction at each college once a week, focusing mainly on classical percussion, such as Marimba, Snare Drum, and Tympani. I was also taught the basics of playing the drum set when I was 11 and have been self taught since.

Performing Experience:

I've been in a couple bands and released music on iTunes, as well as being hired for High School musicals and churches. I also had a temporary gig as the drummer for Leo Dan, a popular Latin American singer. While in college, I performed in Honolulu, Hawaii as well as Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. I've also played many clubs/bars/restaurants throughout LA/Orange/Riverside county and Inland Empire. I still play shows and teach private lessons every week. I also have a cymbal endorsement with Soultone Cymbals.

Experience Teaching:

I have had a few dozen students over the past 5 years from ages 6 to 34, all either at a beginner or intermediate skill level. I've taught old High School teachers of mine, class mates, relatives, even 1st grade students. No matter the age, people want to play the drums and I know how to help them harness their talents, grow as productive musicians and enjoy making music!
