Matt has always loved music from an early age. He began playing the drums at the age of 10 and continued his education by taking lessons. His musical influences include Stephen Nedzel, Jesse Backes, Bret Kuhn, Josh Wilson, Huei-Yuan Pan, Brian Spicer and more. Matt's favorite thing about music is development and joy and his favorite thing about teaching music is creativity, open mind, patience, and recognizing growth. One of his favorite teaching experiences was seeing a lesson kid walk in the door and just knowing he was 110% invested and prepared in what he was doing.
