My passion for music runs deep through my soul and it is what I feel as my calling. Every since I was a child I have always had an ear for music. I would hear progressions and leads and always wonder what it took to play and create such a wonderful sound. I believe that every person can benefit from learning an instrument. It is something that warms the spirit and brings people together. It also will boost confidence levels, and lower stress levels. It is an experience that only a musician can know. I wish to impact my students in such a way they too will want to show the world the beauty and pleasure of knowing the language of Music. I love to perform, study, compose, and teach music. I have seen the power of learning theory and how it is 50% creativity and 50% knowledge. I wish to make the learning curve fun, creative, and pleasurable.  My goal as a teacher is to help the student grow and expand their creative ability in self-expression through the application of music theory on the guitar. The skills the student will acquire with these classes will allow them to reach a point to where lessons are no longer necessary and self study and real-time application (playing for a church, gigging with a band, becoming a hired musician) will then be the molding tool in the student’s learning curve. The music theory learned through the guitar will also set up the student for becoming a multi-instrumentalist. Music is a language just as math or English, and learning the language will allow the student to communicate with other musicians, but also with other instruments, as music theory is universal once the formula application is understood.  *
