Hi, my name is Linden (I also go by LA) and I am a music-loving keyboardist that also knows sound engineering. I have been a student of music for over 30 years. Since I was born in Jamaica and grew up in New York, my musical influences go from Reggae to Pop to R&B, Rock, Funk, Jazz, Gospel and beyond. My teaching style can best be described as informal and personal. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want others to yearn to learn more! In my lessons, you can expect to learn the what and why things are done. I like to tell my students the story behind everything. My favorite thing about teaching is to give a full understanding of what I'm discussing. While my performances has turned more into studio work, my students love that I take a genuine interest in helping them develop their skills. I primarily teach theory, but I can also teach technique.
