Hi, my name is Raquel and I am an artist from Richmond, Virginia. I have been a student of music for over 15 years. My musical influences include Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu. I also enjoy Jazz and Pop. My teaching style can best be described as creative and expressive. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I take pride in helping students find their individual voice. In my lessons, you can expect to learn your real voice, and how to bring it to its fullest potential. I like to tell my students that there's only one you, and that's your ticket! To just be your best self and believe in your abilities! My favorite performance was at Harvard University, where I got to share my story with people I would've probably never met on a regular day. My students love my neo traditional approach to voice lessons, involving methods of self care and personal development. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach performance and stage etiquette.
