About Me

With over 15 years experience teaching music, I have worked through all sorts of technical and educational issues with students. Anything that you’re struggling with in your playing, or even if you’re just starting out I have the proven experience and competence to help you navigate your instrument. I can prepare you for shows or auditions, or just help you begin to fine tune your abilities. I use a traditional methodology, Hal Leonard, to give students visible structure that they are progressing through and can measure their progress by quickly revisiting previous songs. I like to introduce students to additional concepts beyond the books to help them make sense of what they’re playing. Theory, scales, and technique are smaller, but regular components of education with me. If you have a song you want to learn or an artist that you want to study, you’ve come to the right place. I have flexible availability and can advise in the purchase of new or upgraded equipment. What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

I can teach them how to realize that songwriting is relaxing and should be fun. I will show how to focus ones thoughts so they can write smoothly. I like to dive into classic songs and explain how songs can work. Most importantly simplify for the student to realize their own potential in writing.

What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

They can expect to enjoy lessons and be challenged in a fun and relaxed way. With bass I like to give them the entire road map by teaching scales and the full fret board. If a student wants something specific I can teach them that as well. I like to always expand on what the bass is and how it is important in any and every band one plays in.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

Students can expect to learn but in a relaxed and fun way. With younger students I like to teach basics and how to read music. With older students I can teach specifics if they ask for it. I also expand on topics and teach them the full spectrum of the guitar and what it can do.
