I am a 21 year old bass player from Dallas, TX. I have played bass for 6 years, and have had the privilege to play with many great Jazz musicians and studio musicians, including Bernard Wright (Miles Davis Band), Bobby Sparks (Marcus Miller Band), and Robert Seawright (Snoop Dogg, Erykah Badu) I have accompanied many great gospel artists, blues artists, and jazz musicians alike. I attended Berklee college of music, where I studied under Joe Santerre, and played with world renowned gospel organist/professor, Dennis Montgomery. I have taught off and on for the last 4 years, my students primarily being professional bassists themselves, as well as beginners. I like to focus on my students interests, and connect them to the fundamental things that tie in to all music. Theory is important, and is covered, but a great deal of my focus goes into the art of listening, groove, time, feel, tone, technique and space.
