Hi, my name is Jeff. I’ve been a musician for over 15 years playing multiple instruments saxophone and the rock instruments being my specialties. I got my Bachelor of Music Composition from Illinois State University, and received a full scholarship to pursue my Master of Composition at Ithaca College. I’ve recorded with numerous ensembles and have credits in the Naxos International Music Library. My passion is for cultivating musicians out of anyone I can! You don’t need musical talent to be a musician, you just need dedication, that’s my philosophy. From baby steps to advanced theory I like to keep music accessible and low pressure, and maximize the enjoyment we can get from this wonderful thing we call music!

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

I use a student-guided approach. I believe students should choose what they want to learn and have their interests fostered, rather than be stuck with the rigidity of more formal training. I tailor my lessons to teach theory and musicianship within the scope of the student's interests.
