I have been performing professionally around the country for 22 years now.  I moved to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in 1998 and have been playing almost every weekend ever since.  Prior to living in the U.P. I played in a national touring band that played 200-250 shows per year and played across the entire USA. 

I started playing guitar around the age of 8.  I didn't take it seriously until around the age of 12, which is when I got involved in playing the local school band.  I then took on the bass guitar as my primary instrument and have been playing and teaching both bass and guitar ever since.

I started teaching when I was 19, and just about to hit the road with the touring group.  I ended up scheduling lessons on the road and teaching at local music stores or in the dressing room, or the stock room of the bar, etc.....wherever I could!

When I moved to the U.P. I joined a local band and took on few students, teaching at my apartment.  Soon after I was offered a job at the local music store as a full time instructor of bass and guitar.  I also took on some beginner drum students.  Within a couple months I was promoted to head of instructors, overseeing the entire teaching staff and program.  2 months later I was promoted to store manager, and given complete control of the operation.  The business decided to re-locate to Tennessee, and I did not want to move my family away from the U.P. so I resigned.  I have been playing solo/acoustic dates and dates with my band called Nudge for over the years now, and teaching as much as I can.  I look forward to teaching you!
