About Me

Hey, my name is Parker. I’ve been playing drums and percussion for over 12 years. Music is a really important part of my life, and playing the drums is easily my favorite activity. I’ve been a part of several bands, including orchestras, large jazz bands, and a few rock bands. My teaching is based on what the student wants to learn, from specific songs and beats to focused work on theory and technique. I also teach concepts useful in live scenarios, including improvisation, reading sheet music, the basics of playing with other musicians, and writing original drum parts for modern music. Music has always been a lot of fun for me and that is an important part of my teaching style.
