James began playing Guitar at the age of 15. Over the years, he developed his skills further by playing in bands. He gained performance experience in the Cincinnati area by playing at such venues as Urban Artifact and with acts such as MULTIMAGIC. Though James can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, The Strokes, and indie pop bands which had great influence on his style of playing. James loves music because it's the universal language and loves teaching music because it brings joy to others. My students will learn the circle of fifths and understand music theory to the point where they can take a scale and learn how to build chords and chord progressions. They will learn how to create dynamic movements with good phrasing and accompaniment to support their melodies.
