Degree and Field of Study:
What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Please bring music, a notebook, and a pencil to your lesson. Basic lesson format: 1. Warm up (scales, technical exercises, etc.) 2. Work on assigned pieces. 3. Short review of that day's lesson and make assignments for next time. The notebook is very important! This is where I will write out assignments for the student to work on in between lessons, as well as record practical advice and reminders for students to look back on during individual practice. Please make sure your lesson notebook comes to every lesson. I will assign some pieces and technical exercises just to improve the students' skills. However, I am also happy to help students with music they perform at school, church, or with other groups, and this music can easily be incorporated into lessons.
