David played and studied music from age six. Early study and performance was on piano and guitar. His study continued on piano, guitar, saxophone and flute. David starting teaching others to play at age 12 while being a member of performing groups in and out of school. David continued his education by completing a B. S. in Music Education at Georgia Southwestern College in Americus, Georgia, He continued his education with work on a master's degree in Music Education at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. David also holds a jurist doctor degree in law and was a practicing attorney for forty years. During that time he continued to perform with professional groups and community and church groups. David is retired from the legal profession and is ready to resume teaching. David is willing to accept students on guitar, bass guitar, woodwind and brass instruments. David's experience has been teaching private lessons, public school band and choir, church choir; band, ensemble and solo performances.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons
Depending on the area of interest of the student and prior study/ability/experience, music script and basics of written music. music theory, styles, forms, and creativity. The student will also be taught about protecting the music created, copyright, publishing and marketing.
What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Technical instruction as to the instrument, reading music and ear training, listening experience of performances by professionals on the instrument, and encouragement to perform
What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons
Technical instruction as to instrument, reading music, ear training, listening experiences to professional performances. instruction about working with other instruments in a band or ensemble and encouragement and support to perform.
