Ronald R.

Ronald was born in Cartagena, Colombia and started playing piano at the age of eight. At the age of eleven, Ronald began to perform with local jazz groups in Cartagena and was part of the Cartagena Caribe Big Band. He took lessons with Amilkar, an outstanding Colombian music professor from Universidad Nacional of Colombia. Ronald completed his Bachelor's Degree in Music Performance at Northwestern State University of Louisiana where he studied with Dr. Francis Yang. During his undergraduate years, he performed in several ensembles, such as wind symphonies, symphony orchestras, jazz orchestras, choirs, and as a collaborative pianist. He served as teacher for the Northwestern State University Music Academy for young students, taught in local schools, and offered private lessons.
