About Me

Hi! My name is Christina and I first began singing in choir in elementary school and began teaching music and voice in high school. After high school I went to school for Musical Theatre where I received even more education on voice and music theory and worked with incredible professors. My teaching style is free flowing and focused on what the student feels in their face and body when they sing. Every lesson should be relaxed and focused. I begin each lesson with small stretches and breathing exercises to help ease into our work. Singing is such a natural and fun activity, but many teachers can make it scary which can slow down growth in students. I want my students to leave feeling more confident and relaxed than they were when they began the lesson. I have experience in teaching and performing classical foreign pieces, musical theatre style pieces, and pop songs. The world is your oyster and I want to help you do all that you can.

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

There will be a lot of focus on the sensations experienced in the student's anatomy. We will find the proper sensations that lead to clear tones and healthy singing and make sure that those feelings are learned so thoroughly that they come naturally. I can teach any of the pieces my students would like to learn and if they don't know what they want to learn, then I can pick from a selection of classical pieces to help begin and reinforce what we learn and then find new pieces after that that fit the student's voice and preferred style.
