About Me

I have many years experience as a live performer having headlined all around the world with acts including The 12 Tenors and Viva Voce. I have even performed live on stage with Frozen's Idina Menzel, Josh Groban, and Brian May from Queen! I am originally from the UK where I ran a theater company dedicated to new musicals and produced many UK and World Premieres in partnership with West End producer Katy Lipson. I recently produced the ambitious new musical drama Soviet Zion which was released as a concept album in 2021. Speaking several languages, I frequently consult for a UK based production company coaching singers on how to confidently deliver foreign language material. I performed for many years with a large orchestra, but currently perform a mellow acoustic set accompanied by a classical guitarist. I enjoy many kinds of music and different kinds of singing, and listen to an eclectic mix of unusual genres. I am confident that whatever style you wish to sing, I can help you improve. The genre of my specialty is musical theater and dramatic material and using an approach honed thrugh many years of teaching and working wit the human voice. I will help you explore your instrument and integrate the different parts of it; build your confidence; help you hone your stagecraft, presence, and delivery; and help you find new ways to express yourself as a person and and develop as a performer. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

I will aim to give you what it is you want, so you need to be forthright and tell me if you want me to help you build your confidence and find your voice, or if you want the tough love and rigorous professional discipline and critique to polish you towards a career. I approach each student on an individual basis, but what you can expect is that we will explore many different parts and nuances of your voice and work on integrating them into a storytelling and emotionally engaging instrument you can be proud to use to express yourself and impress others.

Formal Education:

I left a university education to accept opportunities to begin working in the Arts.

Private Education:

I have taken private instruction from a number of mentors.

Performing Experience:

I have performed with The 12 Tenors two major national tours of Japan and China, performed with Stars of Opera in England, Wales and at sea, and toured extensively with Viva Voce all over the world for 6 years. I have worked with platinum-selling recording artist Magoria, and with television's talent coach Milo Lee. I feature on a number of electronica releases on an Israeli label, where I was also featured in a tv commercial singing outside Big Ben! I have performed my own material at the piano, I have performed as an accompanist and been an assistant musical director, I have performed in prestigious venues including London's Royal Albert Hall. I have been a member of choirs and in the ensemble of musicals, and made my New York cabaret debut as a special guest in a show at the Triad Theater for which I was awarded two prestigious awards from the RTN Network..

Experience Teaching:

I have taught and coached singers in private lessons at all levels, I have held and hosted workshops for performers on general technique and on exploring specific material, I have worked coaching vocalists on how to deliver foreign language material, and worked closely with vocalists on the shows I produced and especially closely on those I had written.
