Alex began playing guitar at the age of 13. Over the years, he developed his skills further by learning songs he liked and by playing sessions with friends. He gained performance experience in the DFW/US area by playing at such venues as Bomb Factory and Chain Reaction and with acts such as Dance Gavin Dance and Icarus The Owl. Though Alex can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are The Smiths, John Mayer, My Chemical Romance, Phoebe Bridgers, and various others which had great influence on his style of playing. Alex loves music because it's his passion and has always helped alleviate and soothe throughout the highs and lows of life, and loves teaching music because he enjoys finding out how to adapt to how a person, uniquely, registers information and work with that style to help instruct.
