Matt is from Los Angeles, CA. He graduated from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood in 2012 with a degree in drum performance. There he was able to immerse himself in music, get hands-on training and learn from world-class instructors. His musical journey has brought him to “The Live Music Capitol of the World”, Austin TX, where he makes a living playing music professionally. When Matt was in music school, he started teaching family members and friends the material he was taught. That sparked his interest in teaching private lessons, which he has now been doing for the last 5 years. He loves sharing what he knows about music with his students and is most fulfilled when he sees students have those moments where things are clicking for them musically. He is passionate about helping students achieve their musical goals.

I prioritize the most important fundamental drumming concepts so they can familiarize themselves with them and begin to work on and master them.
