Malik began playing Trombone, Baritone, Sousaphone at the age of 11. Over the years, he developed his skills further by Practicing and performing in large groups. He gained performance experience in the low brass area by playing at such venues as national honor bands, jazz venues, college bands, Euclid Symphony, etc, and with acts such as musical theater. Though Malik can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are all of low brass which had great influence on his style of playing. Malik loves music because it is a way to express ones self and loves teaching music because the world needs more musicians.
