Ronald Th.

Ronald has been teaching since 1968, in his own studio, and also at the Univerksity of the Ozarks, the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, and in studios owned by others. He has taught private lessons in piano, voice, organ, and music theory.

Ronald has a BM from the University of North Texas in music education with a concentration in organ; a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan with a major in musicology and a minor in organ; a Master of Music degree from Southern Methodist University with organ as the main instrument and a minor in theology, and Ph. D. course work in musicology att the University of North Texas with a miinor in music theory.

Ronald's students have made I's in the Richardson Piano Festival, and placed in the Slater and Hendrix competitions in Odessa, Texas, and won the music portion of the Junior Miss Competition of the Arkansas River Valley. He has served churches as Director of Music and Education, served and church organist and pianist, and director of the adult coir for 52 years. He aims to teach people so that they can function in music a number of years after their private lessons may have ended.

Ronald has played organ and organ and trumpet concerts at various points in Arkansas and Texas. He has played ten years at the Music City Mall in Odessa, Texas, and for weddings, funerals, and receptions.

Ronald is certified as a music director, under the Board of Ministry, of the Northwest Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is also a certified music teacher all levels in the state of Texas.
