Like many students of music Jason was introduced to percussion in the public school system. Through much work and study he played a major musical role of his many schools ensembles to include Jazz percussion, orchestral work, and marching band. Upon graduating from school he began more serious collegiate studies on the foundations of music theory and education. These days while not actively teaching music, Jason is currently involved in many performing and "gigging" ensembles around the city of Houston and surrounding areas. The would include rock bands of varied styles such as punk, emo, surf, r&b, rip-hop, jazz, and popular cover bands. Jason also is very experienced in acoustic percussion to include Cajon, Conga, and Djembe for an accumulative 25 years of musical experience.
