Hi, my name is Casey and I am an opera singer from Rio Rancho, New Mexico. I have been a student of music for 1 year at my university, but have been training and performing/competing for 8 years. My teaching style can best be described as casual yet effective. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want students to have fun. In my lessons, you can expect to learn technique. I intend to open horizons for my students especially when keeping an open mind to different styles of music. Opera and Musical Theatre is just as fun! My favorite thing about teaching is watching people grow, not only vocally, but they often become a bit more confident and/or open. My favorite performance was this past May, when I competed in the Alburqurque Art Song Festival and placed First in my Category. I won’t have as much experience as a usual applicant, but I am enthusiastic about music and people who love making it!
