Hi, my name is Derrick and I am a lot of fun from New Jersey. I have been a student of music for 42 years. My musical influences include Prince and I also enjoy Green Day and EDM. My teaching style can best be described as exciting. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I care about your time. In my lessons, you can expect to learn confidence and how to own a song. I like to tell my students positive statements. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the smile on a student once they learn it. My favorite performance was at Disney in middle school. My students love that I am not too judgmental.
