About Me

Zachary has always loved music from an early age. He began playing Trumpet at the age of 10 and continued his education by attending the College of Southern Nevada and the University of Nevada, Reno. His musical influences include Band and Orchestra Composition and Trumpet Performance. Zachary's favorite thing about music is the ability to communicate on a deeper level and his favorite thing about teaching music is the satisfaction of watching his students consistently improve. One of his favorite teaching experiences was working with 7th and 8th grade students at Lake Tahoe Music Camp. When taking lessons with Zachary you can expect an organized lesson based on appropriate protocol and procedures that appropriately challenges the student while maintaining a focus on professionalism. Song Writing Lessons will guide students in their compositions propelled by examples from Music Theory, proper Orchestration, the use of composition technology and proper arranging and composition techniques that will effectively set written word to music.

Students can expect to receive a piano lesson that is driven by developing a solid technical foundation including diatonic and chromatic scale study, dexterity and velocity studies and focus on performance of Cornerstone Piano repertoire by composers such as Czerny, Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin.
