Hello, my name is Chris ! I have been playing and teaching the saxophone, flute, and clarinet for over 10 years and have extensive experience in the many common styles of woodwind performance. I am a Junior at the University of North Texas where I am majoring in Jazz Studies on the saxophone. In addition to the saxophone study in my major, I have ample experience on clarinet and flute as well! Whether it be learning classical excerpts, learning to improvise in a Jazz style, or simply learning how to start on the instrument, I can help you achieve your goals! What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
While learning with me, students can expect to learn how to play fluently in whatever style they desire. We will talk about how the position of the mouth can change the color of the sound, we will also talk about stylistic elements of each style that make those styles unique, such as growling, swinging 8th notes, scale choice, etc. I also have extensive knowledge in music theory and harmony so if you want to learn how a song's chords function, I can help you understand!

Taught under greats such as Brad Leali, Dave Guidi, Alex Hahn, Drew Zaremba, Rich DeRosa, Darcy James Argue, and more!

Has performed at numerous live venues In the Denton and Dallas areas, such as The Bomb Factory, Lava Cantina, Steve's Wine Bar, and now living in New York performing at clubs and private events!

Has been teaching for over 4 years in all styles of saxophone, flute, and clarinet. This includes reading music, improvising in a Jazz style, knowing how to take the piece to the next level, and so on!
