About Me

My name is Marissa, and I am originally from Jamestown, NY. I began playing flute in the fourth grade. I got my undergraduate degrees at Ohio Northern University and majored in Music Performance BM and Music Theory/Composition BA with an arts administration minor. I received my Master of Music degree at The Ohio State University in 2016. I was a camp counselor for two year at the OSU Flute Workshop, a high school flute camp. I was the flute instructor for the Jefferson Academy, a music institution that served community members. I served as adjunct instructor of flute, music theory, and ear training at the University of Dubuque in Fall of 2018. I am currently all but dissertation in the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree at the University of Iowa. Thanks for taking a look at my profile. I hope to meet you soon!
