Hi, my name is Nicholas and I am a music instructor from El Paso. I have been a student of music for 15 years. I currently hold a degree in music education from Baylor University with teaching certification from Texas. My musical influences include Yo-Yo Ma, Coldplay, Eminem, the Berlin Philharmonic, Bernstein. My teaching style can best be described as whatever you need it to be, I can be both the chill teacher and the strict disciplinarian based on the needs of the student. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want above all else, for my students to grow in their instrument and become passionate about music. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the fundamentals of playing to give a solid starting foundation, bow grip, reading music, small music theory, a bit of music history, and advanced techniques. My favorite performance was when I went to Italy to perform chamber music by Dvorak and Mozart in Castello Duino. My students love that I take the time to address each of their needs and am flexible with scheduling. I primarily teach cello and viola, but I can also teach violin and double bass.
