Whether you're 5 or 50, you learning how to read music is something ANYONE can do! I am eager to teach the basics and foundation of music. How to read sheet music, learning the basic terminology needed to understand music composition and performance, and identifying keys are some of the most important attributes when learning music! My goal is to help newcomers feel less overwhelmed when jumping into this new hobby.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner -
When it comes to music, many people can feel overwhelmed, as it is something brand new and can sometimes feel like a foreign language. With me, you don't have to worry about what you do or do not know, as we will learn the foundation of how to read sheet music from scratch. Music is like riding a bike; once you learn, you can't forget! And don't feel discouraged, remember...you weren't born knowing how to ride a bike either :) It is my hope that my lessons will consist of webcam lessons as well as an assignment to complete between lessons. This assignment will be reviewed at the following lesson to track your knowledge and growth.
Formal Education:
I attended one year at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. I studied Music Business and Music Production while being in multiple ensembles including marching band and concert band with my secondary instrument, saxophone.
Performing Experience:
I have performed in many local recitals on piano as well as to the public as part of an ensemble.
Experience Teaching:
Though I have no direct experience as a music teacher, I have years of experience in childcare and early childhood education.
