Jake has always loved music from an early age. He began playing piano at the age of 5 and guitar at the age of 12. He has been working as a cruise ship pianist and singer/songwriter in the Chicago area. His musical influences include everything from Frank Sinatra to Vulfpeck to J. Cole.. Jake's favorite thing about music is its ability to connect with people, and his favorite thing about teaching music is giving students tools for creative expression.
