Hi, my name is Darius and I am a music producer/writer from southern California. I have been a student of music for over 13 years. My musical influences include James Brown, Prince, Battlecat and I also enjoy all other genres of music. My teaching style can best be described as hands on. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that "creators create". In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to produce, write and record your own music from start to finish. I like to tell my students not to worry about what anyone else is doing and just be yourself. My favorite thing about teaching is the creative process, helping someone craft something original. My students love that I don't just tell them what to do but i actually walk them through the steps. I primarily teach music production, but I can also teach writing and drums.
