Hi, my name is Brent and I am a Guitar Teacher from Houston. I have been a student of music for 20 years. My musical influences include Bach, Art Tatum, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. I also enjoy Tom Quayle. My teaching style takes advantage of muscle memory to improve very quickly in a short amount of time. My teaching philosophy is similar to running; consistency is key to achieve your goals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn chords, scales, songs, improvisation, and composition. I like to tell my students that rapid improvement is possible through isolating techniques. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students form bands and starting projects of their own. My favorite performance was playing with professional guitarists at a Chicago blues festival. My students love that I am patient. I primarily teach guitar, but I can also teach piano, bass, and ukulele.
