About Me

Hi, I'm Sunset. I started playing music in 5th grade when I joined Orchestra and became a 1st violin player. From there, I explored many instruments, finding a passion for playing guitar and writing my own songs in college. I want to help inspire creativity and practice music with great people. I am patient and understanding toward my students and hope to encourage you each lesson! I can help you with anything from starting from the very beginning to helping you polish up your playing to helping you write your own songs. My particular guitar playing style is finger picking and layering melodies with a loop pedal, so if those are things you'd also be interested in trying, I can teach you. I have music on YouTube if you're interested in seeing what I do. But I can also branch out, and I have branched out, into many other styles from my own.

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I played violin all through middle school and high school. I can teach you anything you need to know, from reading music to just getting an ear for music and improvising over other instruments. I also have all my sheet music over the years (both beginner and advaned) that I can provide for each lesson and loan you to practice with!

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

I can teach you scales which can help with playing lead guitar, chords, finger picking, and other things. If you have a question about whether or not I can help you with something else, just ask.
