About Me

My name is Christina and flute has been my primary instrument for 20 years. I played it throughout my elementary/high school years and continued through college. I attended SWOSU on a music scholarship where I attained my Bachelor of Music Education degree. Upon graduation from SWOSU, my skills expanded into the instrument repair industry, so for the last few years I have been repairing woodwind and brass instruments as my main source of income. I have opened my own repair/teaching studio in Oklahoma City. My favorite types of music include Broadway shows, symphony and big band, especially if they are live concerts!. A favorite composer of mine is Michael W. Smith. In lessons we will cover technique, theory and repertoire. Practice of 1/2 hour per day is expected if the student is truly interested in progressing in his/her study of any instrument. I do look forward to meeting you and your student and learning about you and what types of music you enjoy.

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of piano and the theory behind it.

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons

Beginner -

Students can expect to learn proper breathing techniques and fingerings for woodwind instruments along with basic music theory. Music pieces can be chosen around school pieces or contest pieces, and we will have additional etudes or practice pieces to help with any areas that need improvement. If the student does not have music for school or contests, we will discuss the student’s history before deciding on a course of music.
