Hey guys, my name is Adam. I was born and raised in Mississippi. I have been playing music since I was about 13 years old. When I got to college, I joined the gigging world and it changed my life. I love playing every style of music I can, and I love performing for people. I want to help you or your child know what it feels like to play, in front of a crowd, or in your home.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I always tailor my lessons to what the student's goals are. Of course, for beginners, I start with all the basics. Strumming patterns, simple melodies, and the prominent chords. I use the Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1, as I feel this is a great introduction to all the initial concepts. Now, if a student is a bit more advanced, I spend time talking with them about what excites them, and where they want to be.

What to expect in my Bass Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

I always tailor my lessons to what the student's goals are. For beginners, I start with all the basics. Simple fingering patterns or picking patterns if they prefer, note and chordal patterns for different grooves and genres, and the concepts of playing the root. I use the Hal Leonard Fast Track Bass 1 book, as it has a well arranged structure and introduces many interesting concepts. Of course, if a student is more advanced, I spend time speaking with them about what new things they want to accomplish, and we work on those.

What to expect in my Song Writing Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

I have been writing songs for about ten years now, and it can be the most challenging, yet rewarding experience. Songwriting is an art that comes from the heart, but there many things to learn in order to do it effectively. Chord progressions, lyrical cadence, and the importance of melody are all concepts that I focus on. I want to help the student make their best, and most honest, songs.
