Larry Hi

Hi, my name is Larry. I am a Guitarist, Keyboardist, Vocalist, and Producer/Engineer. Growing up in Kenosha, Wisconsin I began learning Guitar at age 10 and got my first Bass at age 12. I played Bass with many local bands culminating in the Bass slot with the national touring act Crazy Elephant in the late 70's. I am proficient on both electric and acoustic guitar and bass in rock, blues, and folk styles. I have also composed music for recordings as well as television and corporate video. Additionally, I have an advanced knowledge of music theory and acoustics. In the late 70's I moved to Los Angeles to pursue work in the recording arts, and while in California I engineered recordings for such artist as Michael Jackson, Boy George, Sergio Mendes, Carla Bonoff to name a few. I have produced recordings such as OY TO THE WORLD A Klezmer Christmas and Brian Hilligoss' These Boots." I have tutored individuals in both guitar and recording [Pro Tools] on an individual basis. As someone who has a passion for both music and the recording arts, I welcome the opportunity to pass this knowledge on to anyone who has a sincere desire to learn!
