About Me

Hello, my name is Joey. I have been playing guitar since age five and have been performing professionally since age fourteen. My father is a professional guitarist and bassist as well and has played with many big name groups and musicians. I have performed all over the Washington, D.C. metro area as well as out of state and now on the eastern shore of Maryland where I now live. I teach a wide range of styles as well as give students an easy to learn in depth look into the world of music theory instead of just teaching cool tricks and solos that look fancy but teach nothing. My methods are effective and students find it very easy to work with me. I have taught students from ages seven to sixty five. Thank you.

I have taken Berklee School of music online classes.

Private Education:

I learned from my father, online and book studies, and various other professional musicians including Chuck Berry's keyboardist.

Performing Experience:

I have played an average of 150 live shows a year since August 2007. I have played with Elvis Presley's sax player as well as the keyboardist for and friend of Chuck Berry, Pinetop Perkns, Little Richard and many more of the great blues players.
