Born and raised in San Jose, CA, Jeff is a former staff accompanist at Berklee College of Music in Boston. While in Boston, Jeff’s clients included - Donovan, Tata Vega (the color purple), Larry Watson, tween sensations Michael and Marisa, pop country artist Brandon Lepere, the Archdiocese of Boston and the award winning Men In Black general business band. As a bandleader he enjoyed the privilege of working at Roxbury Presbyterian Church and maintained a weekly night at the famed Wally’s Jazz Cafe.
Jeff was lucky enough to have studied privately with one of the greatest music guru’s of time, the late Charlie Banacos. Speaking on Charlie Jeff stated, “He was a beacon of musical light. Every time I was in his teachings studio I felt like I was studying with Yoda. He was always cheerful and telling funny stories and jokes, I’ve never come across someone with the depth of musical knowledge that Charlie had.” His other teachers outside of his education at Berklee College of Music in Boston have included Polo Jones, Bruce Gertz, and Lenny Stallworth.
Jeff currently lives in Los Angeles where he continues to play live music (currently performing with Radio Disney Artist Celeste Kellogg), teach private lessons, and write music.
