About Me

Hi, my name is Jamie and I am a vocal teacher from Williamsburg, Virginia but I now reside in Chatham, Virginia. I will graduate from Ferrum College in Ferrum Virginia in May 2020 with my BFA in Musical Theatre, Music Minor and Religion Minor. I have been a student of music for 8 years. My musical influences include musical theatre and I also enjoy classic rock! My teaching style can best be described as fun and functional. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want everyone to grow from their lessons, even if it is just a little bit. In my lessons, you can expect to learn proper singing techniques, breath control, and vocal health. I like to tell my students that singing is not as scary or as hard as you think. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing others grow and seeing the joy it brings them. My favorite performance was being in all the musicals I have and being able to portray many different characters and voice parts. I primarily teach young adults and adults, but I can also teach teens. My approach as a teacher is to be as helpful as I can and help you reach your vocal goals. What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Be able to expand the vocal performance levels, learn how to take care of their voices, and techniques to practice in between lessons to constantly build their vocal muscles.
