Darius began playing at the age of 6 months, I’m kidding not possible but every sense I can remember I have been playing so about 4. Over the years, he developed his skills further by becoming part of a production company called Live Out Loud. I gained performance experience in the performance and show area by playing at such venues as Red Cat jazz cafe, House Of Blues, Miller outdoor theater and many more and with acts such as Mario, Phill Wade, Marium Echo, Oshun, Betty Wright, Scarface.
Though Darius can teach many genres of music, his musical personal favorites are Gospel and Hip Hop which had great influence on his style of playing.Darius loves music because it’s so fulfilling to express yourself through music and loves teaching music because it allows people to connect together.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Student should expect me to push them to there best of there ability. Learn the things they want to learn on drums and the correct technique it takes to play the drums. How to play and when and what to play. A lot of musicians are good but it’s so much more about reading and feeling the music and knowing how loud how soft to play and which rudiments you use.
