Hi, my name is Isaiah and I am a clarinetist from Jacksonville, FL. I have been a musician for over a decade. My musical influences include Sunshine Simmons, Pat Graham, Peter Wright, and many others. I also enjoy Exercising. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I focus on having strong fundamentals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn music theory, technicalities, and lyricism. I like to tell my students that an outcome is the product of preparation. My favorite thing about teaching is the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next. My favorite performance was the time I performed at Carnegie Hall in New York. My approach as a teacher is to build life long relationships and help students meet their goals. What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Students can expect to gain a strong understanding of the fundamentals, building a strong foundation. If they already have a foundation filled with bad habits or wrong technique, then eliminating those are the goal. Students will learn to not only focus on their individual tone and technique but how that fits in with other musicians. How to be part of an ensemble. The student will come to understand that there are standards that need to be met in order to become a proper musician.
