Hi, my name is Melissa and I am from Charleston SC.I have a BFA in musical theater with a concentration in vocal performance. I have been a student of music for 15 years. My musical influences include Hozier, Florence Welch, and Stevie Nicks and I also enjoy musical theater. My teaching style can best be described as laid back an hands on.

My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I want you to feel as comfortable as possible and focus on what we can do together to help you meet your personal goals. I like to tell my students that all great things com from daring to begin!

My favorite thing about teaching is watching a student grow and accomplish goals they have set for themselves. My favorite performance was a solo concert I gave for university students last April. My students love that I do my best to ease any anxieties they have while helping them to chge themselves. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach song writing.
