Jarikka has always loved music from an early age. She began singing in church at the age of 7 and continued her education by learning how to play the alto-saxophone in middle school. Her musical influences include Kelly Price, Mary J. Blidge, India Arie, & Lauryn Hill. Jarikka's favorite thing about music is that it makes you feel better and her favorite thing about teaching music is that it allows her to share the experience of joyfulness. One of her favorite teaching experiences was substitute teaching for music class and singing with the students. When taking lessons with Jarikka you can expect a fun learning experience.
