Piano: Began at age 5 with private teach. I performed at Indiana Piano Recital at Indiana University 1953. First Place and Standing Ovation.
Drums; Began in 5th Grade, Private lessons, Jr High Band 1961 through 1963. High School Marching Band, Concert Band, Choir. 1964-1966. Indiana HS drum soloist. 1st place 1964,65 & 66. Indiana HS Jazz Drummer 2nd place 1965, Indian HS Jazz drummer of the Year 1966.
While in high School I worked through ABC Production in Chicago. I worked with many bands in Chicago as fill in when regular band drummers were not available. Marian & Jimmy McPartland, Stan Getz, Ides of March, Buchinghams, Shadows of night, and many more.
North Texas State University: 1966-67 Jazz Music Major. 3 O'clock Lab Band drummer. Instructor Leon Breaden, Private instructors, Ed Soph and Ron Fink' NTSU Marching Band, Concert Band.
I went on the road with a couple of groups in Holiday Inn's and Ramada's in the mid west. At a friends request I moved to Nashville and worked at Studio B with a number of well known artists. I recorded with Barbara Mandrell, Earnest Tubbs, many commercials and preliminary recordings for future artist's work.
Santa Fe Summer Thearter Staff Drummer 2 years at the Greer Garson Theater. I have 10 years of road experience in Jazz Blues, Classic Rock, Southern Rock, Country and MOR. I taught privately both rudimental drumming and kit techniques.

Private Education:
I have taken 2 years of piano lessons, 5 years of rudimental lessons, and 3 years of kit lessons. I took 5 lessons with Gene Krupa and 1 lesson with Buddy Rich.
Performing Experience:
I performed in High School, free lance work in Chicago. 1964-1966. North Texas State U. 3'Oclock lab band. I spent 19 years playing in bands on the road and 2 years as a studio musician at studio B in Nashville. I played with Barbara Mandrell, Earnest Tubbs and many others.
Experience Teaching:
I taught music as a substitue in the Glendale,AZ School disctirt. Private instructor in Phoenix AZ, Private instructions in Des Moines IA. total 3 years. 15 students.
