Hi, my name is Kimberly and I am a 42, from San Diego I have been a student of music for 25years. My musical influences include Classical, musical Theater, Jazz, Marching Band and Voice and Choir. I also enjoy dancing, Horse back riding and hiking. My teaching style can best be described as fun and challenging. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I am fun but want you to be successful and love to teach techniques and help you learn to play as well as compete in music and personal goals. In my lessons, you can expect to learn to read music well, music theory, practice habits, great easy-challenging warm ups, posture, vocal tone skills, performance skills, audition techniques and preparation for performances. I like to tell my students" Perfect practice makes perfect progress! Just play!"

My favorite thing about teaching is helping students grow and learn confidence. My favorite performance was all my high school and SDSU Marching band, tournaments, Choir performances at Disneyland, orchestra and Theater shows. My students love that I have a sense of humor, I am skilled but relatable AND can push them to work hard. I primarily teach voice, keyboard, but I can also teach flute, piccolo and Clarinet.
